John Buttrick appointed member of the Audit Committee

The Board of Directors of Agfa-Gevaert has appointed John Buttrick as a member of its Audit Committee. Consequently, the Audit Committee now comprises three non-executive directors, Mr. Ferdinand Chaffart, chairman of the committee, and Mr. André Oosterlinck and Mr. John Buttrick, both independent directors.

John Buttrick  is 45 years old and American citizen. He graduated at Northwestern University and has a juris doctorate from Villanova University School of Law. He is a partner in LiveWire Ventures, LLC, which invests in and manages companies that provide mission critical software products and services aimed at the telecom, media and other industries.
Prior to joining LiveWire in April 2000, John Buttrick was a partner of the law firm Davis Polk & Wardell in New York, where he practiced international corporate law and was a member of the firm’s global mergers and acquisitions group. He joined Davis Polk in 1985, practised in the firm’s Paris office from 1988 to 1990 and became a partner in 1994.
John Buttrick was appointed member of the Board of Directors of Agfa-Gevaert on April 29, 2003.
