During the past weeks, management and executive staff representatives of Agfa-Gevaert have conferred intensively on the announced restructuring program for the executive staff members in Mortsel. A settlement has been worked out to realize this program in a social way. The management will inform all employees in-depth in the course of the coming days.

The consultation’s basic principle was that no one would leave Agfa without a new perspective. The emphasis of the social plan is therefore on re-employment. To this end, management will invest in a qualitative career orientation center. The settlement is based on the combination of internal or external re-employment and early retirement schemes. The remainder of the redundant executive staff will be coached and trained in the career orientation center before their contracts are terminated.

The management and the executive staff representatives are convinced that through these proposals the savings target will be reached in a social way.
