"Following the launch of :Avalon at Print05 in September, we decided to introduce the new platesetter into the UK at DPW. It cleared customs just a few days before the show opened and was snapped up by Speedlith on the second morning of the event," explains Laurence Roberts, Director Graphic Systems. "This demonstrates exceptional confidence in Agfa’s expertise and technology by a customer who did not see the need for a full demonstration of the :Avalon," he added.

Speedlith, a repro house based in Manchester, supplies plates to a variety of commercial printers. They have been customers of Agfa for many years and have had a :Galileo thermal CtP system for some time but now need to increase plate production.
