Traffic and Surveillance Films
Agfa, which has already produced black & white traffic and surveillance films for third parties, will now market its traffic and surveillance film types under its own brand name. The range will be expanded with a colour film designed specially for digitisation, which produces images with a high signal-noise ratio. These images can therefore be successfully used in automatic registration plate recognition systems.
The new 35mm black and white films, available in different versions, offer excellent sensitivity in both the pan-chromatic and the 'near infrared' area. As a result the user also obtains excellent image quality by night or in bad weather.
The films will be marketed under the ‘ASP 400 S’ product name.
The 35mm colour film, which is only sensitive in the visible light spectrum, is called ‘ASP 400 X’.
The launch of these films fulfils the market need which has arisen through the growing number of conventional speed cameras being set up for safer traffic.
ASP 400 X PE1/PE0
ASP 400 X PE1/PE0 is a panchromatic negative maskless colour film with high colour saturation, designed for traffic surveillance. It is also suitable for industrial applications requiring a high speed film whereby images are scanned from the film. This film gives excellent definition and lower granularity than a masked film with the same photographic speed.
