Mortsel (Belgium) - January 5, 2004 - Agfa-Gevaert announces today that it has reached an agreement with Barco to acquire the assets and all staff of dotrix NV, a Belgian based company which develops, manufactures and sells digital colour printing solutions for industrial applications. The price of the transaction is around 6 million Euros.

Melbourne, Australia - 9 July, 2004 - Leading Queensland regional daily newspaper, the Gold Coast Bulletin, has chosen Agfa's :Polaris XTV computer-to-plate systems for their new printing plant at Molendinar. The plant, which includes a new Koenig and Bauer nine-unit printing press and Ferag mailroom, has been fully operational since July.
