Nel giugno del 2005 l’Ausl 2 dell’Umbria, in Italia, ha lanciato in collaborazione con Agfa, un network di teleradiologia per collegare gli ospedali di Assisi, Marsciano, Todi, Città della Pieve, Castiglione del Lago ed il centro di Riabilitazione di Passignano al centro di neuroradiologia diagnostica di Terni. Agfa ha fornito tutte le tecnologie per l’acquisizione e la gestione delle immagini in formato digitale all’interno del network, basate sulle soluzioni Agfa RIS/PACS (Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving Communication System). e CR (Computed Radiography) per la radiografia e la mammografia digitale, installate nei siti ospedalieri.
