Innovative technology for excellent results

Agfa (CP) cassettes combine reliability, durability, comfort and minimum weight in one cassette, thanks to Agfa's innovative technology and to Novodur, an extremely tough but light plastic. Above all, they provide excellent diagnostic results

Built to last

The cassettes are long-lasting and shockproof, thanks to a careful design and rubber corners that absorb shocks. Consequently, Agfa (CP) cassettes will last for years.

Optimal patient comfort

Agfa (CP) cassettes are easy to handle by staff and are comfortable for the patient. Novodur feels warm and soft when touched by the patient. The edges of the cassettes are rounded off so as not to injure the patient.

Lightweight

The cassettes are manufactured entirely from Novodur, making them 25 % lighter than metal cassettes.

User-friendly

You can open the Agfa cassettes up to 180 degrees, which facilitates loading or unloading them. A countersunk relief dot on the cassette clearly indicates whether the cassette is loaded with film or not. If you see, or, in the darkroom, feel that the dot is filled, the cassette is loaded.

Daylight identification

The ID window enables you to label the film in the cassette with patient data. Using dedicated patient identification equipment from Agfa, such as the Curix ID camera or the Digid 2000 (M), you can do this in broad daylight. Agfa (CP) cassettes can be equipped with either a European-standard ID window or an American-standard ID window.

Optimal film/screen contact

The magnetic sandwich (steel foil on the tube side and magnetic sheet on the rear) extracts entrapped air as you close the cassette. This feature ensures optimal contact between the screens and film.

Safety

The Agfa HealthCare cassettes comply with the following international standards:

DIN 6832, ANSI PH 1.49, IEC 406.
