(ACC.15, Booth 829) Agfa HealthCare announced today the commercial launch of a new version of HeartStation ECG Management System featuring improved workflow capabilities that facilitate access and sharing of ECGs across the hospital enterprise. The solution will be on display at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2015 Scientific Session & Expo, March 14-16, 2015 in San Diego, CA.

The enhanced HeartStation ECG Management System is designed to integrate with Agfa HealthCare’s recently launched Enterprise Imaging suite. The system introduces several improved functionalities and features, including new task accelerators facilitating more efficient access to ECG exams and results; gain adjustments for improved visualization of the ECG complex; a new prioritization system designed to allow users to organize their tasks to align with complex departmental workflows and one-button interpretation reset and batch confirmation capabilities. In addition, the security system has passed the most stringent security tests for protection of important clinical data. HeartStation ECG Management System also provides a vendor-neutral, single point of access to historical and current ECG exams in a universally familiar and easy-to-read format.

“Providing clinicians throughout the health system with secure, timely and workflow centric access to ECG data is a vital step in cardiology care,” commented Stephen Mallory, Global Product Manager, Agfa HealthCare. “We have used feedback from our cardiology customers in combination with the enterprise imaging philosophy that has inspired Agfa HealthCare’s enhanced technology offerings, including Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology, to launch a new and improved ECG management system that provides the key functionalities needed to allow the cardiology department, and the hospital as a whole, to leverage ECG exams. The result is a robust system that facilitates a clinically rich ‘visual healthcare infographic’ of the patient by providing the ability to display, review, edit, confirm, print, and archive ECGs throughout the continuity of care, throughout the hospital network.”
