Agfa in healthcare IT
Agfa enables healthcare providers to improve clinical outcomes and patient care at a lower cost through the combination of ORBIS and IMPAX.

ORBIS, developed by GWI and used daily by over 400,000 hospital employees, is an enterprise-wide IT platform and suite of applications, which integrate all administrative and clinical data within a hospital.

The ORBIS platform and its unique workflow and information management capabilities contains over 70 modules that can be used to build and customize the system at the point of care, according to each hospital's changing needs. The clinical depth of the workflow driven IMPAX systems can be seamlessly integrated in ORBIS. Tangible benefits of this comprehensive approach are increased decision support systems for treatment and decreased duration of hospital stays.

An environment where diagnosis and procedures have to be recorded, findings and therapy results documented, instructions, issued and work assigned has resulted in an increasingly patient-centric approach to healthcare management. This approach is supported by the holistic system ORBIS offers, which blends clinical and administrative processes.
