Agfa Graphics has built up a strong patent portfolio on inkjet printing elements, especially on inkjet inks.

The patent families relate to pigment dispersions, ink formulations, ink sets and printing methods with specific ink compositions.

They include both aqueous and non-aqueous inkjet inks, i.e. oil based inks, solvent based inks and curable inks.
Radiation curable inkjet ink technology, has been protected in patents relating to specific building blocks for curable compositions, ink formulations, pigment dispersions designed for curable inks and printing methods using these inks.
