We have over 10 years of experience with inkjet system integration for Agfa Graphics, and presently are involved in several projects with other inkjet system integrators.

What is our experience in inkjet ink R&D and manufacturing?
We have many years of experience in designing and producing inkjet inks, within a large group of multi disciplinary scientists and engineers, including specialists in pigment dispersion, new building blocks for inkjet inks, ink formulation, ink – printhead interaction, ink – substrate interaction, system integration and so on.

For what type of applications can we deliver integrated inkjet solutions?
We stand for Integrated Inkjet Solutions starting from ink, but we offer you more than just ink. We can design, develop and produce inkjet inks (many different types) and we want to offer you our know how on the fitted use of these inks in inkjet system integration for all kinds of markets (Wide Format Printing, Packaging, Document printing, Label printing, Textile and garment printing, Decoration, …). We have a basic line of ink sets for system integration, but we also deliver customized inkjet fluids.

For which print heads can we deliver integrated inkjet solutions?
We are focused on piezo inkjet printheads, more precisely, but not exclusively printheads from Xaar, Agfa Graphics, Toshiba Tec, Fujifilm Dimatix (Spectra printheads) and Konica Minolta.

Where are we located?
Our laboratories and ink production site are both located in the headquarters of Agfa Graphics in Mortsel, Belgium.

Who is the manufacturer of the inkjet inks used in the Agfa Graphics inkjet printing systems?
The inkjet inks used in the Agfa Graphics Wide Format inkjet printing systems of the :Anapurna range, the :Dotrix range and the :M-Press were all developed in-house and are manufactured in our ink production site in Mortsel, Belgium.

Which types of inkjet inks are commercially available and are within our development scope?
We have commercial inkjet inks for imaging applications of the aqueous, mild solvent and UV-curable type (including white ink and varnish). Experimental inkjet inks of several different types are under development: smart packaging inkjet inks, decoration inkjet inks, document printing inks, as well as primers.

What is our relation with printhead manufacturers?
Xaar and Agfa together developed a new platform of piezo printheads, called Xaar Omnidot and Agfa Graphics UPH (Universal Print Head); the Agfa Graphics UPH printhead is used in the Agfa Graphics :M-Press and :Anapurna XLS. We are an official ink partner of Xaar. The :Dotrix printing systems are high speed / high quality single pass printing systems based upon Toshiba Tec printheads and our UV-curable inkjet inks, perfectly tuned for this very demanding application. The :Anapurna range of Wide Format printers comprises printing systems using Fujifilm Dimatix Spectra (Nova or Galaxy) printheads as well as printing systems using Konica Minolta printheads. Our UV-curable inkjet inks are optimized for each printhead type and perform very well for these applications.

Do we have intellectual property on inkjet inks and inkjet systems?
We have built-up a very important IP portfolio on building blocks for use in inkjet inks, pigment dispersions, inkjet ink formulations and inkjet ink printing methods, but also an important patent portfolio regarding inkjet printing systems.
