Connectivity

Agfa has a history of proven experience in the connectivity domain and we have helped to establish and evolve standards including HL7, DICOM and IHE.

Agfa's RIS systems support a variety of standard and custom interfaces with HIS, PACS and other information systems to establish viable and effective communication between the radiology department and other divisions of your healthcare institution.

These interfaces include:
ADT (Admission Discharge Transfer) Interfaces exchange data with patient administration systems. Patient data include patient demographic information, administrative information concerning visits and insurance, as well as medical information, such as allergies. ADT interfaces help ensure a centralized patient administration and minimize errors.

Order & Appointment Interfaces exchange information with ordering and scheduling systems to smoothen and accelerate the workflow.

Billing Interfaces provide information about performed exams and materials used to invoicing systems, speeding up revenue cycles and avoiding errors.

Report Interfaces enable the distribution of results, making them available to referring physicians in a shorter time frame.

Communication with Impax™, and other PACS, ensures the availability of up-to-date worklists to technologists/radiographers. Radiologists have bi-directionally synchronized access to patient data from RIS (reports, history, administrative data etc) and PACS (images). This supports the diagnostic process effectively and efficiently, resulting in improved interpretation and report turn-around times.
