IMPAX Master Patient Index (MPI)
Impax Master Patient Index (MPI) helps to improve quality of care by unifying the identification and management of patient imaging studies across integrated delivery network (IDN) facilities.
Agfa's Impax MPI Services form part of Agfa Integration Services. To assist radiologists in making more informed and timely diagnoses, IDNs have long sought to provide a single patient view of all imaging studies across their member facilities. However, the implementation of such an enterprise-wide PACS solution has been limited by the existence of disparate patient ID domains at individual IDN sites. Agfa's Impax MPI addresses this challenge by utilizing probabilistic-based algorithms to cross-reference these patient identifiers, thereby unifying the management and delivery of patient imaging studies across these IDN member facilities. Impax MPI also provides enterprise-wide pre-fetching and query/retrieval of relevant prior studies to help improve workflow efficiency, reduce operations cost and improve patient care.
