Advances in imaging have provided radiologists with a variety of high quality, high resolution imaging technologies. With IMPAX Registration & Fusion R1.0, Agfa provides the reading radiologist with an automated, very easy-to-use set of tools for comparing these images. Images can come from either a single modality (e.g. CT/CT or MR/MR) or from different modalities (e.g. CT/MR). With the completely automated application, the radiologist has the necessary comparison with a single mouse click.

One system, different modalities

Over the past few years, there has been a strong increase in the use of combined modalities (e.g. combined PET/CT scanners), creating a need for related software tools. While the reading radiologist receives multi-modality clinical data, the proper tools to use these data are not provided, so the potential added value is not realized. IMPAX Registration & Fusion R1.0 includes the tools needed to optimize the value of combining modalities

Multi-modality medical registration and fusion allows the radiologist to efficiently use images collected from different imaging devices to provide important information for follow-up studies. IMPAX Registration & Fusion R1.0 allows both side-by-side viewing and fusion of studies from multiple modalities. Standard Uptake Values (SUV) and volume measurements of tumors can be calculated, providing critical data for treatment planning.
