Agfa HealthCare’s IMPAX X-Ray Angio Analysis software package is designed to improve radiography productivity and medical care, by enhancing the angiogram analysis workflow. It allows the reading radiologist to acquire, read and process an angiogram, all from a single IMPAX workstation. The radiologist no longer needs to switch to another, dedicated modality workstation for the processing and analysis, improving workflow and productivity. The availability of the tools needed at the point-of-diagnosis makes the radiologist even more effi cient, while improving medical care at the same time. It thus breaks through yet another barrier to an effective workflow!

Three steps to angiogram analysis
Whether for a straight, a bifurcated or an ostial arterial analysis, only three guided steps are necessary for the reading radiologist to have the desired output: calibrate, select the points over the lesion to be analyzed and click 'finish' to see the results. As the steps are guided, application training is kept to a strict minimum. The software automatically detects the contours, performs the necessary calculations and provides the results. For straight peripheral arteries, the software provides Quantifi cation of Vascular Analysis (QVA) for XA and CR Image types. For lesions localized at either the ostial or bifurcated part of the artery, dedicated quantifi cation algorithms have been developed.
