Well established leader in screening technology

Agfa was one of the first to introduce professional screening in digital prepress production systems. It's :ABS amplitude modulation screening technology was a breakthrough in moiré reduction and smoothness of skin tones and tints.

First in PostScript based stochastic screening

In the early 90's Agfa introduced PostScript-based stochastic screening to reach unsurpassed image detail, and vibrant colour rendering. Graphic arts companies around the world in packaging used Agfa's :CristalRaster to achieve new heights in screening quality and reliability.

Raising the quality threshold with advanced Cross Modulation (XM) technology

:Sublima XM cross-modulated screening is Agfa's most advanced screening technology to date. A cross between AM and FM screening systems, :Sublima uses the best of both methods to produce photo-quality print, with no extra cost or effort on press - and improved on-press stability.

Used for offset, letterpress and flexo printing, :Sublima XM introduces higher line screen rulings at standard resolutions bringing finer image details, never reached before. It offers it all: smooth tints, great skin tones, and blends all the way down to 1 % dots without abrupt endings. And it is always based on the smallest printable dot the given plate/press configuration can hold reliably on the press.
