The use of a digital printing engine, steered by technology capable of printing continuously changing images opens up new market possibilities and offers true product differentiation. Agfa offers more than a combination of technologies: it offers workflow solutions tuned to your demands: starting from design and pre-press, over colour management towards the fastest digital press available on the market.
Use a brand-new technology while reducing time and waste!
Gravure printing has proven to work well for high-volume production, but entails long production runs, tooling costs and cylinder changes. Agfa's technology resolves all of that. No cylinders needed, thus lower costs, no storage, no possible transport damage, no doctor blades, off-line time extremely low, less space required, less inventory, less manpower, different colour matches in one go, faster response time to customers … and much more is offered through Agfa's industrial digital workflow solution for decorative applications.
Unseen fast and high-quality industrial digital printing
Agfa engineered a single sided web-fed digital colour press aimed at demanding industrial printing markets. :Dotrix Modular is designed for short and medium run production, sampling and customized, personalized printing. The main features are its impressive productivity of more than 900 m2 per hour on a 650 mm wide web at consistent industrial print quality. The use of UV and eco solvent inks (CMYK) ensures a wide colour gamut plus excellent physical properties of the ink layer like adhesion, rub resistance and light fastness on a wide variety of substrates.
Complete workflow solution from design to digital printing
Agfa delivers a complete workflow solutions called :Inspiration. Multi-channel spot colour designs are printed on the :Dotrix Modular press and consequently require difficult colour conversions. Our integrated colour management system is developed to handle such difficult conversions. It can even - in a later stage - also be used as a recipe program towards conventional presses for high-production volumes.
