:Apogee StreamProof Option takes soft proofing to a higher level of speed and functionality. It is ideally suited for commercial printers and publishers who require higher performance and professional annotation tools
Basic operation of how it works:
:Apogee StreamProof Option transports a large number of highres proofs over a standard internet connection using streaming technology. An extended pallet of professional annotation tools lets you mark-up the proofs in real time. It is available as an option to either :Apogee WebApproval or :Apogee ProjectManager.
Incoming files can be pre-flighted or proofed by page processing systems, such as :Apogee Prepress.
This output, high or low resolution, with or without spot colours is converted by :Apogee StreamProof Option into a SIF (StreamProof Image File) format.
Customers can then connect to :Apogee Portal using a standard internet browser.
A StreamProof applet provides a quick view of the SIF files.
A wide range of easy 'digital sticky notes' and digital freehand mark-up tools (pencil, densitometer, ruler, etc.) allows customers to collaborate over on any element on a page in real time.
:Apogee Portal notifies all parties involved in the approval cycle to act upon the annotations and invites them to take appropriate action.
Once a page has been reviewed, it can be approved for further processing.
In short: it's a tool that enables collaborative mark-up with fast access to high-res softproofs.
