Agfa HealthCare expands multi-site agreement with Basque Healthcare Service
(ECR 2010, Booth #103) Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announced today that it has expanded its agreement with the Basque Healthcare Service’s Osakidetza facilities in Spain to extend its IMPAX Picture and Archiving and Communications System (PACS) to a further 15 sites, in addition to the 28 facilities it currently serves. To enable all facilities to easily access and share diagnostic images and related data, Osakidetza will also install Agfa HealthCare’s IMPAX Data Center, a solution which manages diagnostic image access and distribution across the enterprise.

Agfa HealthCare to display IMPAX Data Center with XERO technology at ECR 2010

A new software solution developed by Agfa HealthCare, the IMPAX Data Center Viewer is a “zero footprint” medical image and report viewer developed to provide access to medical imaging information for clinicians at any point of care. The solution requires no downloads of client application software or web application frameworks, thereby providing ready availability of imaging information to clinicians, independent of network bandwidth or operating system.

Agfa HealthCare introduces next generation Computed Radiography solutions at the ECR 2010
(ECR, Booth #103) Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announces today that it will be launching its next-generation CR systems at ECR 2010. From March 5th to March 8th, the company will be introducing both its DX-M, a CR solution for Mammography and all general radiology needs, and the DX-G, a CR system with outstanding flexibility for general radiography. Both systems have been designed to handle both needle-based detector plates (NIP), as well as standard phosphor plates (PIP). The solutions have been specifically developed to support a hospital’s increasingly complex workflows, while at the same time meeting the facility’s need for high image quality.
