Recruitment Scam Alert:
It has come to our attention that fraudulent job interviews and offers are being made on line by individuals or organizations that claim to be representing Agfa. These individuals are using Gmail accounts and contacting potential victims on line using Google hangouts. In some cases, in order to secure an offer of employment, job seekers are asked to provide personal information and bank account information. Subsequently, in some cases a check of a significant amount is sent to the individual with an “offer”. Please note that these communications are fraudulent and do not originate from Agfa. They are a scam. We do not conduct online interviews in Chat, Google Hangouts, or other similar social media products in our interview process. If you suspect that you are being contacted by an unauthorized recruiter or fraudulent representative of Agfa, you may contact Agfa directly at www.agfa.com and be sure to report the abuse to Google.
Be suspicious if:
- You haven’t applied for a job with Agfa but receive an offer of employment.
- You are being recruited via google hangouts or other chat arenas.
- You receive employment offers or communications from non Agfa.com group email addresses (e.g.: Agfahc.com, yahoo.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com, aol.com, etc.).
- You receive requests for sensitive personal information such as Social Security Number, Bank account numbers or requests to access accounts or transfer any funds or to make or receive payments to or from a third party of any kind.
