Agfa HealthCare releases TalkStation 3.1 speech recognition solution for radiology
Improved vocabulary and security features increase departmental responsiveness with rapid report turnaround

San Diego, CA (HIMSS Booth #5633) – February 13, 2006

Agfa HealthCare announced today the release of TalkStation™ 3.1, Agfa’s speech recognition software platform for radiology. TalkStation 3.1 provides enhanced security features and improved recognition accuracy.

Using Dragon’s NaturallySpeaking™ 8.1, TalkStation 3.1 provides improved recognition accuracy and increases departmental responsiveness through rapid report turnaround and flexible information sharing between departments. In addition, a customized language model has been added to further improve accuracy.

"Several sites have already been upgraded to TalkStation 3.1, which has been extremely well received by new and existing customers alike," said David Talton, Reporting Solutions Manager, Agfa HealthCare, North America. "We are rapidly upgrading our install base, bringing them improved speech recognition services and helping them to make their departments work much more efficiently."

Version 3.1 also provides support for Microsoft Windows XP and e-signature capabilities to meet the enhanced security demands of many institutions.
